An automotive filter manufacturer needed a completely integrated system to assemble ninety (90) different models of oil and fuel filters, with a variety of diameters and heights. The hourly rate needed to be between 2000 and 4000 parts per hour.
 
Hoppmann Corporation tackled this project by incorporating six separate stations together. Each system consisted of a single or double turret, a dedicated electrical control station, one or more conveyors, and in one case, a prefeeder and feeder to feed and orient part of the final product prior to it’s assembly. We also used five different, color coded pucks for each of the five different diameter sized filters.
